Crandall, of the Houston Hemerocallis Society, received the Regional Service
Award. This award is presented to members who have given unselfishly of their time and efforts
to promote our Society on a Regional basis.
As 1982-83 Region 6 RPD Nell worked to see that every local Society received coverage in the Region 6 Newsletter. She served as Houston Area Daylily Society President, Vice President, and Program Chair.
She attended every National Convention but one since she joined American Hemerocallis Society in 1976, and had also been present at every Regional Meeting but one.
She served as 1986-87 Region 6 RVP and Newsletter Editor.
Nell was a member of the Spider Robin and worked to preserve many of these old cultivars that have gained popularity through the efforts of people like her.
