Julia "Judy" Ann (Chandler) Leffingwell

Julia ''Judy'' Ann Leffingwell, was born on April 17, 1941 in Joaquin, Texas, the daughter of Burt and Mildred Chandler.

She was a 1959 graduate of Carthage High School, Carthage, Texas. She attended Panola College, Carthage, Texas.

She went on to work for Prudential Insurance where she met the love of her life, Robert Leffingwell. She and Robert married on May 4, 1962, in Houston, Texas.

After moving to Freeport, Texas, she worked for the First Freeport National Bank and eventually went on to work in the Adult Probation Department for Brazoria County where she would retire..

Judy was a member of the First Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir.

She was a longtime member of the Brazosport Daylily Society where she served as 2011-12 club President. She was also a member of the Freeport Lions Club and Homemakers of America.

She was an avid fan of the Houston Oilers and Houston Texans. She loved scrap booking and crafting. Her favorite holiday was Christmas.

Her biggest passion was her family and traveling.

Judy passed away surrounded by her family on July 21, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Leffingwell.
