Dallas Hemerocallis Society was organized at the home of Mrs. Hugh A. (Lula Mae) Purnell, with 17 Charter Members in January 1957. The club hosted the American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) Region 6 Meeting in 1959, and the AHS Convention in 1965.
